The raid on the public broadcaster’s headquarters comes just one day after the AFP raided the home of a News Corp political editor over articles she published in 2018 on proposals to expand Australia’s domestic surveillance capabilities.

The ABC warrant names the reporters Dan Oakes and Sam Clark, as well as the ABC news boss, Gaven Morris.

In a statement less than an hour after the AFP officers entered the office, the ABC managing director, David Anderson, called the raid “highly unusual”.

The raid comes one day after the AFP executed search warrants at the home of News Corp journalist Annika Smethurst, who had reported on secret plans to allow government spying.

The AFP released a statement saying no arrests were planned today and the warrant was “not linked to a search warrant executed in Canberra yesterday”.

The search warrant was “in relation to allegations of publishing classified material, contrary to provisions of the Crimes Act 1914” and “relates to a referral received on 11 July 2017 by the Chief of the Defence Force and the then-Acting Secretary for Defence” the statement said.

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Police raided the offices of Australia’s national broadcaster on Wednesday over allegations it had published classified material, the second raid on a media outlet in two days, prompting complaints that the “outrageous” raids hindered media freedom.

The Rupert Murdoch-controlled company said it had “the most serious concerns about the willingness of governments to undermine the Australian public’s right to know about important decisions governments are making”.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison was reported as saying he believed in media freedom but that there were also clear rules about the use of classified information.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the State visit.

The Pageantry, the Dresses, President had a wonderful conversation with the Queen, lasted almost an hour and 1/2, asked her questions and got the answers that he told her he wouldn’t tell, just a lovely visit so far, even our lying LSM have had to say so.

Protestors are few, the UK LSM being nice to our President, our lying LSM not so much, snarky evil peeps.

As usual, Melania looks gorgeous at the D-Day ceremony.

I think the president is going to go after Biden, the front runner, early. Getting Joe defending himself from the get-go, facing all kinds of questions, accusations, etc. will wear him out. This will take him out of the running, or diminish his poll numbers and leave the dems scrambling for their next establishment pick. Fun to watch.

Ol Joe does not have the strength, sharpness, or stamina to go through a primary, only to be followed up by the general election. That’s why he’s pacing himself now. They know full well he’s old and tired. It’s like Hitlery 2.0.
