I have first-hand knowledge of a high school student who makes $13/hr after school at Target.
When I was a teenager, I worked at a McDonalds for $2.10/hr, which was minimum wage back then.
Sorry to say they waste a lot of their earnings. There are better ways to creat personal worth.
Poor babies!!! Hey, $92,000/year is megabucks to me!!! I’m 73 and never made 1/3 that much AND raised 3 daughters. We made it. They all graduated college, and beyond. Had beautiful weddings. They’re strong, self-sufficient, great mothers, caring and beautiful!! Best daughters a Mom ever had!!

My daughter (b 2000). Already has a chef degree. Has had a couple jobs and has her own car ( we don’t exist anymore )
The 90s were good years with the internet tech boom. But that fizzled pretty famously and a lot of people lost money.
Then 9/11 happened, and the country started to change and government control tightened (never good for the economy).
Then we had the Great Recession of 2007.
Then we had 8 years of Obama.
Trump is doing a good job fixing things, but young people have grown up in a hard time. And the adults in their lives haven't done them any favors (parents, teachers, politicians, etc.).
I feel considerable pity for the young today.
If you grew up being brainwashed by your DemocRat parents and DemocRat schools, you’ve inherited the values they wanted for you. You’re entitled, unmotivated, looking for free crap, obsessed with political correctness and sexual deviancy, and attending the latest protests. You probably can’t even drive a car. In other parts of what’s left of America, people are working, making their own way and handling life like adults. I know, that’s SO yesterday.
They could get rid of the "Smartphone" but they are addicted to Facebook and Twitter. "Smartphones" are smart only for the guy selling them.
The honest truth (and I’m a millennial) is that so many of them piss away whatever extra money they have on Starbucks, figurines, avocado toast (lol), expensive hotel rooms, etc. They live only for the now. Also, they are too arrogant to ask for advice, but also lack the ambition to figure out things by themselves. They just don’t even try.
Just maybe these limp losers should get to WORK...and STFU.

Oldest got his degree and went to work for the state in the revenue department., and is now a manager.
Daughter saw all her friends spending every dime on manicures, pedicures, makeovers etc. So she went to school to become an esthetician, and opened her own shop doing skincare and eyebrow tinting to the self-absorbed spenders
Next son went to trade school and then to work for Ford. Now he works as the entire shop manager for one of the top performance truck shops in the state.
Youngest son went to work as a apprentice electrician and recently received his license and is now doing his own Electrical Contracting work.
All 4 have their own homes, have decent vehicles, are raising families and doing what they have to to make ends meet.
They also voted for every tax and voted to let illegals in (raising housing prices)
Socialism (even @ 75%) is a bitch...
I delivered newspapers and made about $12 a week from six years, until I got my DL. Then got a job washing dishes for a buck and a quarter an hour at a little Italian restaurant. At least the food and pop was free. Not to mention what we filched from the bar...
They are lazy and entitled is all. So many opportunities to get decent jobs nowadays.
