FULL TITLE: Buttigieg backs up women who have THIRD trimester abortions as he tells Fox News audience that government doesn't make 'impossible, unthinkable choice' any better – even for women who've picked baby names and cribs
Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg said Sunday that governments shouldn't stand in the way of women who want to seek abortions in the final three months of their pregnancies.
The South Bend, Indiana mayor allowed that women who are six, seven or eight months into their pregnancies have 'perhaps chosen a name' or 'purchased a crib.'
But Fox News Channel moderator Chris Wallace found no flexibility in his pro-choice stand.
'As horrible as that choice is,' Buttigieg said, 'that woman – that family may seek spiritual guidance, they may seek medical guidance – but that decision's not going to be made any better medically or morally because the government is dictating how that decision should be made.'
Six thousand women in America each year choose to terminate their pregnancies less than three months before their due-dates, instead of carrying the babies to term. That represents less than 1 per cent of the roughly 700,000 U.S. abortions each year.
Pro-life advocates have seen late-term abortions as a largely rhetorical firewall in public debates – an extreme that renders more common examples less comfortable.
Some in pro-choice circles, however, have begun to push the envelope, including Democrats in New York and Virginia this year.
The United States is one of just seven countries that permit elective abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
The 37-year-old Buttigieg, making his first run at an office with more than 100,000 constituents, would be America's youngest-ever president if he were to move into the Oval Office in 2021.

Women have the absolute control of their bodies. A baby in their body is a separate person with rights to life.
The real hell of it is the many childless couples that want to adopt that baby if not aborted. The act of abortion is a senseless act of convenience. There are many loving couples that most desire those babies.
Relative to the new law in Alabama I do have a problem with the prohibition of abortion in the case of incest or rape. However as a proponent of states rights it is Alabama’s legal choice and I do support this though they are wrong. It is all about the constitution and the rule of law in each individual state.
It should be noted one can commit the most obscene and heinous acts of murder and be only convicted of life in prison in some states. If you do it in Texas, we will put you to death. This is perfectly okay as this is the will of each and independent state.

Good. The debate now has shifted thanks to the insane infanticide laws and the heartbeat laws now coming up in the other side.
It’s now no longer some euphemism like “choice”. It’s clearly a discussion of what’s better: abortion so unrestricted that they can do it in the delivery room (aka murder what is undeniably a full term baby) or so restricted that rather than choose some babies you can murder you just can’t have abortions at all. Get people to take sides on unlimited murder vs no murder and judge them accordingly.
We now know that mayor Pete will justify murdering full term babies. What will stop him from deciding YOU need to be snuffed?

Third Trimester abortion as a woman’s “choice”. Choosing murder should be ok, and apparently is to the NY state legislature— since they approved killing a baby that survives Third Trimester abortion.
Third trimester is a not so clever euphemism for ANY time after the Third Trimester begins, including after the birth of the baby.
Infanticide is the “choice” of the mother. OK- then LET HER DO IT. Take the baby by the feet and bash it against a wall like the German socialists and Japanese soldiers did— in the Koncentration Lager murder camps and in Nanking, throwing babies into the air and skewering them on rifle bayonets (they were filmed doing this!).
Social engineers say it’s ok to “get rid of a nuisance child”. Life is no longer a valid legal recognizance.
