IMO, the paint on the car looks much better in the first photo than any of the others. I guess it's just the lighting in the garage.

If I owned that GT40 I'd sell it and buy as many traditional American street rods, like this Galaxie, as I could. If I had as much money as Jay Leno, I would keep the GT40 while buying as many traditional American street rods as I could. Also, I think that Jay Leno should buy that orange Jeepster pickup that CommerceComet saw yesterday and give it to him.

Sweet! My first car was a 1964 Galaxie XL Baby blue twin bucket seats. Dad sold it when I was off at college which didn’t make me too happy. But unlike most newer cars, it had character.

My uncle had a mint condition 67 Chevelle SS in the early 80s.
He kept it a couple of years, sold the work of art, and apparently doesn’t miss it.

I think Leno’s equal in the airplane restoration hobby is Kermit Weeks. Kermit has tons of old aircraft restored that he likes to ride around in on youtube, too. The difference between them moneywise is that Jay earned his money and Kermit inherited his.

The photo must be in the Ford section of his garage. Notice the AC Cobra and the Shelby Mustang next to the GT-40.

My first car was a 67 Merc Caliente, the Merc version of the Galaxy. Spunky.

I think the 47 Plymouth coup looks a sharper.

When I was a boy, my father bought a new ‘65 Mustang fastback. Soon after, he bought a new ‘66 Ford Galaxy for my mother as the family car. With a daughter who looked like Patty Duke and three sons with astronaut style buzz cuts, we had to have been the hippest family on the block.
To: Karl Spooner
I think the 47 Plymouth coup looks sharper. Perhaps. But, IMO, not in that shade of green, and with that large sun visor.

Check out this bad azz '47 Plymouth...
