Oh by the way......how does a Mississippi accent differ from an Alabama accent?

What is a “Florida accent”? Having been born and raised in Florida I’d love to find out what that is.

“Southern Ohioan”???? What kind of accent is that? Silly me, I’ve never been.able to pick them out from Northern Ohioan.....which come to think of it, is awfully hard to distinguish from much of the rest of the Midwest other than maybe rural Minnesota.

Cincinnati has an unsexy accent? The Bearcats will be devastated to hear it. Ummmm what exactly is a Cincinnati accent????

This poll is ridiculous crap. Most of these “accents” don’t exist or are indistinguishable from the broader regional accents.

I think all of the Southern states have their own version of the Southern accent. They are similar enough that most people that don’t live here would not notice but I can tell them apart. Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi all have a slight difference but Tennessee and Texas sound similar to me.
