Pilot Atilla Senturk, whose phone footage of the object can be viewed in the video below, described it as an "incredibly bright celestial body at high altitude."
... "It was not a satellite or a star. Then it disappeared at an incredible speed. [It] was very close to us and very bright despite the sun."
"Cabin supervisor Efsun Selin Sezer and First Officer Ozgur Erdas were [also] witnesses."
While the video is difficult to make out, it certainly seems to show something in the sky nearby.

A blemish on the windscreen caught the sun at just the right angle for a few seconds.....
Just adding my theory to all the rest....:-)
American Airlines pilots drink whiskey before their flights. What do Turkish Airlines pilots drink ?
The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus.
Ah Lah recommends highly the camel urine.
Man in Black #1 : Even the former leader of your United States of America, James Earl Carter Jr., thought he saw a UFO once. But it’s been proven he only saw the planet Venus.
Roky Crikenson : I’m a Republican.
Man in Black #1 : Venus was at its peak brilliance last night. You probably thought you saw something up in the sky other than Venus, but I assure you, it was Venus.
One day, I turned my wrist just-right, and realized the dots were tiny reflections of sunlight off the bezel of my wristwatch.
Geez Mr. Civ, it’s a cellphone camera. Made for filming selfies at bistros.
I remember when they aired John Glenn's conversation as he made our first trip into space.
He reported seeing small glowing orbs swirling around outside his window. You could sense the tension. Then one of the ground guys said, "What are they saying, John?" and the whole crowd broke up.
I think it ended up being particles from the capsule.
Yep - amazing how reflections appear to be real at times...I found myself trying to wipe off what looked like strands of spider webs one time while stopped at a light - there was a glass truck ahead of me and the light caused very fine lines to appear on the windshield...only figured it out as they seemed to move when I leaned over and then did a quick trip off the windshield when the truck moved off.
:^) The eyewitnesses were all flyboys, that's a good thing. In the (mostly) humorous "Cabin Pressure", there's an interesting vignette on UFOs. The two stews (oops, flight attendants) point out that members of flight crews see UFOs irregularly but continually during their careers, but they also explain why they don't file reports about them.
