At Wednesday’s rally 45 pronounced Mayor Pete’s last name as Butt-edge-edge.

The etymology dictionary had this

Butt-”posterior, buttocks, rump,” from mid-15th century.

Edge-Old English “corner, edge, point”, also a “sword”

I also went and looked in the Vulgar Tongue Dictionary and found this:

Definition of Butt

BUTT. A dependant, poor relation, or simpleton, on whom
all kinds of practical jokes are played off; and who
serves as a butt for all the shafts of wit and ridicule.

Definition of edge

TO EDGE. To excite, stimulate, or provoke; or as it is vulgarly called, to egg a man on. Fall back, fall edge; i.e. let what will happen. Some derive to egg on, from the Latin word, AGE, AGE.
