hot dang lookie all the news!

Just got back after a long day. From the chiropractor we drove through kent OH to Ravenna and then to Mikes homestead. I showed Jenny where my dorm was at Kent and where I taught school that first year after graduation at a rural school in Garentsville at a whopping 4600/yr pay! LOL.

Jenny did amazing at shooting and I mean AMAZING. She did a couple different rifles one with a scope; and various handguns. I was incorrect in her shooting past. She DID shoot when she was in the Navy.. she was 18-20 and that was 40n years ago. I posted pix of her and her targets (small and not too close) on FB. She had a great time and really liked Mike.. her mentor and my friend for half a century. I think she is starting to change her idea of conservative men. Don’t know if she will stop disliking Trump because she like so many has bought into all the lies..her parents and all her family are libs. Hard to buck. He lives about an hour from me.. little less from her. very rural acreage.

after we returned, I went to my home to feed the kitties and get the mail. In the mail was a rejection for SNAP (food stamps based on my too high income). they had a breakdown of my status but were off 1000$ Instead of a social security income (which it really isn’t) of 460.. they had 1460. I suspect that same number was input in the computer for the rejection of Medicaid. It irks me with incompetence for these jobs which are no doubt decent paying.

Im so tired but will be getting our dinner together. I did the Italian sauce in crock pot yesterday... Canned tomatoes and a slue of fresh and dried herbs.

It gets so hard to continually be fighting the system and life challenges.,

We dealt with”the system”. All day. It’s exhausting. P lost his wallet We now think it was stolen!
Started at license bureau Because he had a blue star, my former student got us out in less than fifteen minutes. That included picture and payment

Then on to EB card office. Another student walked him thru the phone prompts of canceling old and establishing new. (Whomever has his wallet used about $50 of his food money)

Next to library for a new card. Another student had him out in under ten minutes with only a two dollar fine instead of full amount. HE goes in a couple of times a week

It helps to have former students. BUT it also helps if people with just take the time to help you get through it.

Before going in again call and talk to a real person. I’m sure the income discrepancy is part of the problem. Ask them what they need to straighten it out.

My dad went to the same IRS lawyer for years. She was in Cincinnati but I taught with her mother. Get a name and direct phone number if possible. It helps if you aren’t dealing with former students LOL

People around here say you must either have a lawyer or social worker to qualify for Medicade. The hospital is the best place to connect with a social worker. Hope this helps. HUGS
