The people who have always watched Saturday Night Live.
And here's a truth: SNL was only ever funny when you were in college. All the rest of the time, it sucked.
I gotta be honest. I watched some episodes here and there throughout my life and NEVER once laughed out loud.
Except maybe when Chris Farley did some skits.
It’s JUST NOT FUNNY
Troof. I watched it in college, with Belushi, Chase, and Murray. After that, I lost track, and knew the show was no longer aimed at me, but at a different age group. Saw Hartman, Farley, Murphy, in other things, but never on SNL.
Couple of things I DO remember: A Johnny Carson interview where he was asked about SNL. He said some of it was funny, but that some of it was incredibly cruel. He mentioned the Claudine Longet skit where they showed skiers falling and voiced over that they'd accidentally been shot by her. He also laughed about them complaining how difficult it was to put on a 90 minute live show every week, when he was doing it five times a week. IIRC, he also mentioned them taking what should have been a one off gag and turning it into a ten minute skit.
