Then lets bring back alcohol prohibition. That worked out just great. There is a big difference between alcohol prohibition---where alcohol was already allowed and THEN prohibited---to making marijuana legal---a substance not yet legal.

There's also the reason that it's nobody's business if an adult drinks alcohol or smokes pot. Sure there is--when you are operating a multi-ton motor vehicle outside of your home, separated from other vehicles by mere feet, you have no business being under the influence of anything. Or when you are operating on a surgical patient, operating dangerous machinery, etc. I don't care if you want to kill your own brain cells and dope or drink yourself into oblivion--in your own house. But don't you dare bring that lack of perfect sharpness into the lane next to mine or into an operating room or a manufacturing facility.

They had to come up with SOME kind of a number; those numbers are still very controversial. BAC has been examined for 80 years. And testing for THC isn’t as simple as blowing into a machine. If the popo are going to draw blood at every traffic stop then we are in a great deal of trouble. There are not quite perfected THC breath analyzers but who knows how that will play out.

I hate stupid laws, and laws with stupid stipulations. Ok, we’re gonna legalize pot. But only THIS much, and only HALF that much if you’re from out of state. Let’s do this with beer; a twelve-pack is ok to have in your fridge, but not three six-packs!
I hope the feds arrest our current governor for the tax fraud rap. What a moron.
If they could’ve built a wall around Chicago, to keep people IN, it might’ve saved their soda tax lol.

Meanwhile Colorado reports quite honestly that DUI for marijuana is on a big increase there. There was/is apparently more pot heads than casual users than everyone thought, or the number of pot heads increased as casual use became legal. I suspect it was the latter.
