I think Buttie Elder came to US - or was at least teaching in US in the 70s. Mifsud was supposedly at the U of Malta in the 80s. They may not have directly been connected, but perhaps had friends/teachers/associates in common. I’m guessing that because the education field is so innundated with Marxist ideology, that Buttie Elder and Mifsud, (education PhD that he is,) shared that Marxist bent.
