How awful! Amazon pays people to work and then actually expects them to work? What kind of place does that?

All sarcasm aside, I am amazed that Amazon gets by at $15 an hour. I work at a factory in rural Missouri that pays operators $16 to $20 an hour and is losing people faster than they can hire. Corporate mismanagement plays a role, but a bigger part is other companies operating and expanding operations in the area that recruit and pay better. It used to be the best paying place for non-skilled labor within 30 miles but now we are middle of the pack and sliding downward as the economy roars forwards. Amazon operates in more expensive places so I am amazed they get away at $15.

Indeed ! My company pays $14.00 to start. We get the dregs of the dregs.

It's a revolving door constantly. I am constantly complaining that we are not keeping up with the labor dollar market.

Then i say, whatev..........
