Listening to Roger Peski at the WH. Reminds me of a story on my dad. Dad and mom went to Canada to a fishing lodge. At the same lodge was a group of men hunting moose. The men had not even seen a moose and mom and dad saw several daily. They often discussed their adventures during dinner. One of the men admitted he wasn’t much of a hunter and wished he was fishing with dad.
So dad took him out. Dad asked him what he did He replied he raced cars. Dad asked,”what do you do for a living?”
It was Mario Andretti. He wrote dad a nice picture postcard when they got back home.
Needless to say although we annually listened to the 500, dad wasn’t much of a fan.
