Homosexuals are just like everyone else. They’re good people and bad people and they have relationships that are just the same as yours and mine. The ones I know are great people that I love dearly. I’ve never known a single gay person who preyed on the young, though I’ve also never known a Catholic priest who did, and I know that there are individuals in both classes who do so. My ONLY objection to my gay friends is that too many of them are liberal. But so are too many of my straight friends.
If (according to your lights) the homosexuality cannot taint the otherwise meritorious lives (e.g. Martina Navratilova) then conversely, the external career and achievements cannot cross-pollinate the sin with worth.
They are orthogonal.
