FYI, CMEX owns at least 200 covered hoppers like that which run all over North America. Because they originate in Mexico, it makes sense that riders could be on one of their cars, but that hopper is probably just one of 100-250 cars on that train. I'm sure the riders are on more than just the one car, and the other cars aren't necessarily CMEX. BTW, CEMEX does own a railroad themselves, but it only runs in Texas.
What I would like to know is who owns the *** railroad *** that the riders are riding the cars on. What railroad would allow them to hitch a ride, and not have their security people force them off? I think that's what would be important, not who owns just one of many cars on the train.
