I’m thinking of getting a framed picture of Don Surber to put on my wall. Next to one of my hero, Trump. Then I’d remember Surber more often than just when I read him, and get some extra smiles for the day.

Michael Goodwin of the New York Post has advised President Trump to not punch back twice as hard against those who conspired to overthrow his duly elected government with a manufactured crisis and lies about Russian collusion.

Gee, while he’s at it Donald Trump can shave his head, lose the tan, stop tweeting, and only speak with a Teleprompter.

Did Babe Ruth bunt with the bases loaded?

Did Bart Starr take a knee on the last play in the Ice Bowl?

Did Neil Armstrong say “you first” to Buzz Aldrin?

But that is what Goodwin said President Trump should do, writing, “Congressional Dems can’t help themselves and are committed to keeping the impeachment flames burning, and the 2020 candidates are acting as if Trump is actually as guilty as they said he was the day before the report cleared him. Either way, the party is not ready to move on.

“All the more reason why Trump must be. After spending a few days cracking jokes and venting about the damage the investigation did, the president should embrace his second chance to be president.”

Second chance to be president?

They never gave him his first chance to be president.

This is no time to be polite and pretend the other side has been civil. UnAmerican activities such as spying on political opponents cannot go unpunished because the penalty for crossing that line must be greater than the reward — or else people will continue to do that.

Did Democrats shrug off Watergate?

We are in win-or-die politics. This is no time to forgive and forget and move on. Clapper, Brennan, and Comey weaponized America’s intelligence and law enforcement apparatus to create a KGB for Obama that they planned to hand over to Hillary.

President Trump needs to keep this story in the American conscience. You don’t just put a Band-Aid on it and kiss this boo-boo to make it better.

Obama left us with cancer. It’s chemo time.

President Trump has shown that he can multi-task without using that shopworn word. He has renegotiated trade deals, revived the economy, restructured NATO, wiped out ISIS as a military threat, moved the embassy to Jerusalem, cut taxes, appointed judges, and otherwise has done more in less than three years than Obama did in eight (and thank goodness he was a lazy bum).

President Trump did all this while poking the Mueller bear and fending off an unprecedented number of attacks.

Donald John Trump needs to keep this unpatriotic attack in the public conscience because we cannot survive as a republic if we accept this attack from within.

And when the republic ends, there will be a dictator.

President Trump is our last best hope. Don’t saddle him with bad advice.
