“I am at the tail end of the baby boom generation, growing up in the 60s and 70s. My parents’ families both lost everything in the Great Depression, grew up poor and then went to war———”

Most tail end Boomers were not born to the Greatest Generation-———same work ethic, though.

My parents were born in the mid 1920s and did not have children until they were both over 30, which was unusual at the time but not so unusual now.

I was the youngest child of parents who were each the youngest children of their parents. My grandparents were all born in the 1880s and 1890s. My oldest grandfather was born in 1880, before the invention of the airplane, automobile, or radio, was a soldier in WWI, and lived long enough to see men orbit the moon.
