Bizarre & creepy beyond words.
IMHO based on this story and a few personal ones I’ve encountered, I find it very difficult to believe there is nothing beyond this veil of life.

The harp playing over the clouds has to be a lie brought forth by the devil regarding heaven in order to shut down any thoughts of real hope.
There’s more than a few verses regarding wine and “fruit of the vine” in eternity. I assume that means barley as well ;)
Not only will we work in Heaven at what we were made to want to do, but we will also take equal care & attention to wanting to assist our fellow man there as well.
We cannot even fathom .00001% of what The Father has in store for us:
1 Corinthians 2:9
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
A gal from our old church had a weird story. Her father(?) had passed away. She and others had been by his side for another long day in the hospital. The nurses said he was resting comfortably, and said they should go home to get some sleep.
Of course in the middle of the night she got the call that he had died. They rushed to the hospital, and of course were all upset that he had died alone.
The nurse replied: “Oh - he didn’t die alone. His brother was with him when he passed.”
“His brother?”
“Yes - he said he just came into town.”
“You spoke to him?”
“Briefly. He said he wanted to see John, so we let him in.”
“What did he look like?”
Of course they described the various distinguishing features, and they looked in on them once during the half-hour visit until the father dad.
Yes - the brother had been dead for many years.
The lady that told me the story seemed normal in every other respect. Although I imagine the mind can make up a pretty good story to save one the trauma if they were so upset over their dad dying alone.
I’ve also read where ghosts are not the dear-departed, but demons taking on their appearance. Who knows?
