This is not the post I wanted to share and has really harshed my earlier mellow.
Clare Bronfman and Kathy Russell did indeed plead guilty this evening.
Clare is facing, max, about two years' sentence. She'll pay a six million dollar fine to Fedzilla, and less than $100k to one of her victims. The disgusting Mark Garagos, her liar, says she signed no cooperation agreement. Her sentencing is set for July 25th.
Clare pleaded to one count each of harboring and illegal and identity theft.
Clare was THE financier for Raniere's sex trafficking cult enterprise, and the mover and shaker behind many efforts to destroy people using false charges in the legal system.
Kathy Russell pleaded to one count of visa fraud and will face six to twelve months.
This news turns my stomach. I hope that it's part of an overall strategy by the prosecution to put the pressure on Raniere. We'll see.
