Was there some speculation on FR, near the start of the Q phenomenon, that Q was Quidam? Then as thing got going here, that our own Quix (for those who understand) was Quidam but not Q?

No, not exactly. But one of the anti-Q cult's talking points has been that since they got "burned" by Quidam that they ain't falling for the banana in the tail pipe trick again.
Not that I believe that Quidam was a hoax, don't get me wrong. That's the anti-Q rhetoric.

Having fought the Quidam battles of the day. The goal of quidam was to distract from the crimes at hand being perjury, obstruction and Chinagate, quidam suggested there were coke parties in the oval office and Starr had proof in samples from the rug. It was ridiculous. Then, when Starr report came out, the DEMs said perjury and obstruction were nothing, it’s all about sex and none of the bad things alleged were proven. No. “Q” is NOT Quidam. No TBD required ;)
