“Be wise....Call animal control.”
I tried that first. They sent a young (18?) woman over with no protective equipment and apparently no training. She ended up getting sprayed and got an eye infection. Caught another one a few days later and they said it had to be in a skunk proof trap. (Somehow the skunk got out of my first trap). Bought a skunk proof trap and caught another one. City had changed their policy and then required it be ONE OF THEIR traps ($75 deposit, 15 mile drive to pick it up and must return the trap in a week or two). Worthless excuse for “animal control”. Maybe after some kid gets rabies they will do something.
Find an old farmer. He'll know what to do.
