cletus, the engine in those silver wings are highly regarded among collectors. truly unique in the two wheel world.
I know, that’s why I bought it. Mine is the last of the GL500 builds (1982). Owner couldn’t roll it anymore and sold it to me CHEAP ($1500) with 30K on it (2-owner).
Now that I’m older and wiser, a 500cc commuter made sense as a re-entry bike. I figger I’ll roll it for another 10 years here in MI (6 month riding season) with very few “long” trips (over 200 miles)
