Later, the woman told investigators that the whole situation could have been a “cultural misunderstanding” and that the man may have just been patting her daughter on the head.

NOTE: Egyptian Consulate Involved, And now it’s just a cultural misunderstanding. Seems to me the TRUTH remains to be determined. Just a pat on the head???? Who goes up to a stranger’s child and pats them on the head? Something weird going on here. YMMV
