NXIVM update.
At today’s Curcio hearing (a continuation of yesterday’s hearing that was cut short due to Clare-Bear fainting) Clare Bronfman said she will keep Mark Geragos as her lead attorney, but she fired Michael Avenatti.
She admitted to the judge that she had hired Avenatti to broker a reduced sentence for her with the Justice Department. Crazy!
Supposedly, she paid Avenatti to find, and offer up to the DOJ, another person who had committed Federal crimes. In doing so, she hoped that the prosecution would reduce her sentence.
