Treason may only be charged against individuals who have ‘sworn an oath of allegiance’. Such individuals may also be charged with sedition, subversion, conspiracy, plotting to overthrow.
All who have never sworn an oath of allegiance may be charged with all of the above except treason.

So most of the media are exempt from that charge. Does that leave the door open to a treason charge for those in the media who at some time have sworn an oath? I’m thinking those with military service. Possibly Stephanopolous if he swore an oath in his job in the Clinton administration?
Either way, there is plenty to charge the media with.
