GAAWWD. What a cackle throat! And, Maddow was not crying, just composing as fast as her jaws allowed.
Since this has much to do with the Clintons and CIA I want to give a short report of a conversation I had with a retired person who served a former Arkansas Congressman as chief of staff. This person claims to be friends with Bill Clinton and likes him but not not Hillary. Naturally he is a Democrat.
I asked him if he saw the movie “American Made” with Tom Cruise. The one about Barry Seals working for the CIA to take surveillance photos in Nicaragua which turned into smuggling cocaine into Mena, Arkansas. It was an over to top movie portraying Seals as haphazard, lucky, cheery guy. The man said he lived the real Mena and it was as over the top in reality as the movie in scope. He claimed to have had a meeting about the scheme that left him scared to death and his boss sent him to train with the seals on handling a handgun so that he could protect himself.
I asked him if it was a CIA operation and he said yes, run out of Reagan’s white house via Ollie North. I asked him if Bill Clinton wasn’t making it possible or involved and he said “It was never proven.” That made me laugh. Still does.
Anyway, he CLAIMS the reason was to trade guns for cocaine and guns would be funneled to Israel. That doesn’t make real sense but again, he is a Democrat and although a very nice person he could be re-directing blame. I thought the guns were to fight communists in South America. I asked him who killed JFK and everyone laughed. Another comment after that which doesn’t really make sense so whatever but he said he believes it was because JFK was about to draw down Vietnam war involvement and the defense industrial complex didn’t like it. I asked if it was CIA and he didn’t know but did not doubt.
He only knows for sure what he knows and is subject of observations which he interprets using what he already believes and that can skew what assumptions are draw.
