Interesting metaphor and code name, “The Last Resort”.

I was down in Gitmo waiting a couple of days to be reassigned to another cutter on TAD.

They have a beach down there on the base, with bungaloes. At the time you could buy rum cheap on base and these bungaloes were a place to sleep and wait for orders.

Pretty awesome. Basically go up and get your meals, then drink all night on the beach.

It was like a retreat.

Thanks for the info on “the last resort”. I couldn’t make sense of Q’s statement.

I think one thing we’re missing (or maybe just me and it’s already been discussed) is this:

[+21][+2][+4]

We’ve been given all these different seemingly random numbers and we’ve been “counting down”. But when you have a rocket launch, sometimes they have launch delays and they have to put time back on the clock or put the countdown on hold.

So maybe the NZ FF caused a hold situation. If the +21 is for that countdown, then instead of today being day [0], we’re now at day [-21] and we’re going to have to wait another 21 days.

On the plus side (no pun intended), that did not add another 21 days to everything. The other two countdowns only had 2 and 4 days added.

Just a wild guess here. And no idea what we’re actually counting down to. (I’d been thinking arrest of MZ or @Jack was the most likely target event.)
