If I was president;

There would be an immediate order that all government agencies fully CLOSE their Facebook accounts. No USFS, No FBI, No DOD, no nothing.

Additionally it would be a firing offense to access Facebook on any government computer or phone.

Last, the US Govt should absolutely refuse to spend any appropriated money on any tech company that discriminates based on political speech.

So all you need to do is report something as conservative ‘spam’ and they automatically block it... Hmm!

Designating Twitter to be a utility ain’t gonna do much to Facebook.

I thought conservatives were against government interference in private business...

Liberals define something as a “mistake” when they get caught.

Facebook is a de facto monopoly and should be broken up into a million pieces.

The big joke is that they really are not “private business”.

These companies never “mistakenly “ block socialists or terrorists on their websites.

1. They are publicly-traded corporations, not private companies.

2. IPO = Initial PUBLIC Offering.

3. Operating in the Private Sector does not equal operating as a Private Company.

4. These are already regulated by the SEC, FTC, and CDA Section 230.

5. Under that last they are legally required to operate as open platforms, without any publishing/editorializing of content, in exchange for Federal protection from liability for said content.

6. If Congress did its job, there would be no need to invoke anti-trust regulations.

and.....it is also a joke to think Congress, a useless posturing political party dog and pony show will ever do their job with integrity again.

They are an embarrassment.
