MOMEYER, N.C. As Nash County deputies make their way to Arizona to take custody of a man charged with the murder of his wife, authorities in North Carolina and Arizona and members of the Nash County community where the couple lived are raising new questions about their relationship.
Rexford Lynn Keel Jr., who goes by Lynn, was arrested in Pima County, near the Mexican border, Sunday with large amount of cash and a pocket knife in his possession. He is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Diana Keel.

His first wife died "accidentally" from a fall. They are looking into that death too now.
More from the article:
A friend told WRAL News last week that she never felt right when Lynn Keel was around.
“It was just the atmosphere and the aura that, you know that vibe that you get from somebody? It was always very tense,” Taryn Edwards said.
She said she was best friends with Diana Keel for 10 years but backed away after Lynn Keel asked his wife to cut ties. Edwards said she was helping Diana Keel plan to leave her husband.
Although Diana Keel shared concerns about increasing unhappiness in her marriage, , Edwards said she never indicated that she was afraid of being physically harmed by her husband.
Posting this simply because of the good police work done to catch this scumbag of a husband.
Also, thought others might care about it since evidently (probably) this involves the murder of TWO wives by the same guy.
More on the death of Keel’s first wife:
Authorities say Bess Keel died in 2006 after a fall. While investigators looked into the case, the medical examiner ruled her death as “accidental,” but those who knew the couple now have questions.
Bess was outdoorsy and liked to ride horses,” Lambert said. “They thought it odd that she would fall down the steps.
In a statement, Bess Keel’s family said they have “always questioned Bess’ death and feel deeply saddened that another life has now been taken.”
Lambert said he and other coworkers hoped authorities would reopen the case. On Sunday, after Keel was arrested, they learned that would finally happen.
A few more facts:
Keel had a large amount of cash on him when found.
Tips from the public gave the police the help they needed to catch him.
He was caught just 34 miles away from the Mexican border.
Once again, KUDOS to the police, FBI, Homeland Security, and the assorted Sheriff departments and the public.
He almost got away with murder.
At least they caught him this time. If only they’d had evidence against him after the first wife died...
He had a good run, but he run too slow...
Yes, so true. It reminds me of the Durham, NC guy (can’t remember his name) whose first wife died under mysterious circumstances and this his second wife died supposedly after a fall down the stairs.,....but he was found guilty of murder.
So tragic!
Yep. Evidently members of the public spotted his car and gave authorities tips.
But the sheriff thanked the FBI, Homeland Security, and the different sheriff departments.
I would like to know exactly how he was caught.
Unlike Mexico... We try to CATCH our fugitives and criminals before they cross the border into Mexico.
Exactly.
His name was Peterson. (the Durham guy).
Now if we can just learn how to pronounce MOMEYER
I thought of the Peterson story, too, when I saw this one. He was convicted of murdering his 3rd wife; his 4th wife is still missing.
LOL = I am a native North Carolinian and have never heard of that place til now.
Yes.
Different Peterson. Plus, theres also the Peterson in CA that murdered his wife and unborn child. Stay away from Peterson males!
There were 3 of them...? Yeah, that is an interesting coincidence.
Or the guy in Colorado who killed his second wife and while investigating that they look at the “death” of his first wife in Georgia which also was suspicious.
