They said that unless we "did something" we'd be starving in the cold by 2000. We were also running out of oil then, remember? By 2200 it might become a problem, though. The cold, not the oil.

So, what did the experts tell us we had to "do" to stop global cooling? I sat through those classes, and don't remember them trying to push an anthropogenic connection.

But that's neither here nor there. Some of those climatologists really did know what they were talking about. They read the recurring climate patterns in the ice and sediment cores, and saw that we'd be in the beginning stages of a mini ice age now.

Same as today; give us grant money to "study" the "problem" and allow government to rule us, telling us what we can and can't do.
