It could be implanted in an Asian elephant. But do we really want to wait 22 months for a baby mammoth to be born?
If it really happens. Im not holding my breath waiting for an extinct species to be revived.

Realistically, all the need to do is:
* revive sperm and inseminate a living elephant
* revive cells, revert to stem cell state, create sperm, inseminate an elephant
* revive cells well enough to get DNA to clone it

Sounds rough, a mouse giving birth to a mammoth. Might need an epidural.

As I understand it, carved ivory is banned worldwide - unless it comes from mammoth tusks. After all, mammoths are ALREADY extinct. Nice way to muck up the ivory market, boys.

But can they do it with a can of beef stew steamed at 245 degrees?

Question is....
Will mammoths taste like chicken, beef, or pork?
And, will a mammoth rib fit on my plate?
