been doing some other reading on this and a couple of questions come to mind......
This ‘Key Worldwide Foundation’ non-profit, how quickly did it’s non-profit status get approved?
..and by which office?
Huffman is a raging liberal. Born into wealth and privilege. The kind of person the DNC degenerates LOVE.
Wiki:
Huffman was born in Bedford, New York, into a wealthy family, the daughter of Grace Valle (née Ewing; 19212009) and Moore Peters Huffman (19101987), a banker and partner at Morgan Stanley. Her parents divorced a year after her birth, and she was raised by both of her parents. When she was a young teenager, she discovered that her biological father was Roger Tallman Maher, who was a family friend. She has six sisters, Mariah, Betsy, Grace, Isabel, Jessie, Jane (19492013), and a brother, Moore Jr. In the 1970s her mother left New York and bought property in Snowmass, Colorado, where Felicity and her siblings spent their youth. Her great-grandfather was Gershom Moore Peters (18431919), founder of the Peters Cartridge Company and prominent Baptist minister, author of The Master. Another great-grandfather, Frederick Berthold Ewing, graduated from Yale University and became a prominent St. Louis businessman. Her great-great-grandfather was Joseph Warren King (18141885), founder of the King Mills Powder Company. She has German, English, Scots-Irish, Scottish, French-Canadian, and Irish ancestry.
Huffman attended The Putney School, a private boarding high school in Putney, Vermont and graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan in 1981. She attended New York University, Circle in the Square Theatre School and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England.
Why wouldn’t someone like Huffman want “the best” for their offspring, no matter the “cost.”
Yes....I was a kid watching it with my parents on Sunday nights.....
“There are rumors about John McCain.”
Actually, the late John S.McCain fell into the category of a “legacy.” It did not hurt that his grandfather and father were both USNA grads but also Admirals.
The mistake was assuming that the genes would carry on to the McCain who just died. He finished at the end of his class, maybe 5 or 6 from the bottom. He messed up in flying too.
Destroyed 2 airplanes, one of them on a carrier deck that killed shipmates, and a third was shot from under him in Vietnam.
POW term was performed in an honorable fashion but he had no choice. A “Legacy” saga.
Yes.
Well, of course they would.
But this does point out the change in American culture. Europe has a true upper class. Europe has an aristocracy, even if the people usually don't have titles anymore. But the idea is an old one: "I come from a good family. I have wealth and connections. Of course my children will grow up and be Masters of the Universe. They deserve that because we are, after all, the best people."
America, on the other hand, is supposed to be a dynamic society. Plenty of people from rich families end up doing stupid stuff and descending into poverty. Plenty of poor people work hard and become extremely rich. It shouldn't matter who your father was. It matters what you do. You make your own life.
But rich people in America now what to bribe the system, and the system is only too happy to take the bribes. Businesses "help" the government and the government "helps" the businesses. And all the cronies are happy at the top of the world where they never have to be concerned with the Deplorable people.
Felicity Jones, I believe.

thanks
Who would have guessed that dropping admissions standards and making special exceptions for otherwise ineligible candidates based upon other considerations might lead to corruption and bribery for admissions?
Truth be known, though, this has been going on in plain sight for centuries with legacies. There have been Ivy League legacy dolts for a very long time, but their ancestors’ name was on something or other on campus, so there you go.
Not as tacky as an outright bribe I guess, and there at least was some plausible connection to the institution, but when you boil it down there’s little difference.
Yes, that was it, thank you.
yep
I know a guy who taught a class at a Kansas college. One guy, on the basketball team, showed up first day for class. He was never seen in class again. When the semester was over, this guy was told by someone not to worry about his grade, they would take care of it (or it would be taken care of).
The “student” went on to the NBA. You would know the name.
I’m not saying the school or his name, not even in FReepmail. But I knew the guy who was the instructor for over 10 years. I believe his story.
I have a relative who is an adjunct instructor at a well-known university. He teaches remedial math for jocks. He would confirm your story.
I’m going to have to save that post
The “students” involved also need to be investigated and are almost certainly also legally liable for their parts in the crimes committed. Think about it: You know if your parents sent you to a fake therapist to get special consideration for testing. You know that you’re getting special treatment when taking the SAT or ACT. You know that you got an athletic scholarship, even though you don’t play the sport. You know your parents, with your complicity, committed crimes to get you into college. You’ve committed the crime of conspiracy at the very least.
But there were only three members in her class.
It's an idiom meaning "an ostentatiously virtuous or well-behaved person."
shhhhh Jared
