I have seen this video before, and I really want to like it, but it mangles US history. The script refers to “colonists” in conflict with the “mother country”. This is a serious error.

The “Star-Spangled Banner” was written during the War of 1812. The United States was now a sovereign nation at war with Great Britain, which had ceased being our “mother country” with the conclusion of the Revolutionary War in 1783. Key wrote the poem that would eventually become our National Anthem in 1814.
