Septimius Severus was not Black though. Big difference between being African and Sub-Saharan African. Romans would've referred to Blacks as "Ethiopians".

Years ago I read an interesting find about a Roman era dig in Britain. Inscribed on a tablet or stone were 3 names from 3 different cultures. There was a Roman name, a Greek name, and a Native Britain/Druidish name.
Yes the Roman Empire was very sophisticated (and barbaric at the same time) in many aspects, but very few people were as mobile as these modern “scholars” claim they were. Merchants, Auxiliaries, and Legionaries made up the VAST majority of mobile travelers in that bygone era.
I’m not buying this article because they refuse to publish DNA. It’s that simple.

The fact remains that this "lady of ivory bracelet" was black African, and given the movement of people throughout the Empire, and to and fro to other places outside the Empire (such as western Africa and India), there's nothing surprising about this.

To each his own. I liked it. Now listening to the audio book upon which the movie is based. Even better.

Just a look at films of Europe from the 1960’s shows how recent the suicidal importation of the third world really is.
