National Socialism is a political ideology and governs more aspects of the peoples lives than a republic. Hitler detested what we call nationalism as the German people loved Germany under the Weimar Republic with Wilhelm at the center of the government. Hitler sought to have the National Socialist German Workers Party at the controls, without respect to national borders. In his mind, the party (and by extension, the State) was to be the center of the German citizens lives, eventually to all of European life and then to the world. He truly believed that his form of government would be widely accepted by all that learned of it.

Wow.

We shall never debate :)

Great post.

Looks like it was written about a freaking college History professor.

Many things I did not know.

And yes I know, being compared to a college professor is an insult these days. I meant it as a compliment.

“.....Germany under the Weimar Republic with Wilhelm at the center .....”

Wilhelm at the center of government?

Which Wilhelm are we talking about?

General Wilhelm Groener? - Ludendorff’s successor maybe?

Kaiser Wilhelm II ? He had nothing to do with the Weimar Republic!
