I’ve no longer have the whole “How could anyone do this?” reaction. Some people are just wired differently when it comes to the ability to feel empathy. Their actions defy rational moral analysis. If I understood what someone was thinking in this case I would worry about myself.

Booze is sometimes called spirits because it is thought to open one up to demons. With the stronger drugs around now these folks must be begging for demon possession. Until recently I did not think it possible but now I do. The devil is in a fury because his time is short, note how fast all these things are happening one after the other. These unnatural acts are becoming the norm.
Good for you. I finally learned that years ago when I worked in neonatal intensive care. What normal people do is to PROJECT their values onto those who do not share them.
