There were a few complaints about the US Trump negotiators getting out over their skies. Maybe the sanctions had been placed on the table and Trump had to pull back those negotiators offers.
Something changed expectations, but Trump sounds pumped and looks really great.

You think so? Maybe it is tonight’s bout of insomnia, but I got the opposite impression.

I don’t think this was totally unexpected. This is same playbook they’ve played before. Give up a facility, promise to denuke, and get sanctions relief. Other times people fell for it. POTUS did not. Sanctions don’t change till actions happen.

Don’t forget-art of the deal-sometimes you have to walk away. I thought it interesting that Hanoi delegation headed to China, Pompeo headed to Manila, Kim stayed overnight in Hanoi, POTUS headed home.

Then this deal is with China, not North Korea.

Huawei could be at the center of it. Chinese economy is on its knees. Automotive manufacturers are closing plants there at an increasing pace. Word’s out there is no market available for anyone that isn’t Chinese, regardless of how good your tech is.

Kim stayed in Hanoi. That is interesting. Wonder how long he stays there.

I thought DJT looked fed up, but again, I was up past my bedtime. I do think he gave it his best shot (yet again), got shat upon, and cut his losses (unlike the previous four presidents who seemed to be okay with giving away the store).
