Tapeworms and fruit flies are sufficiently different from humans that you cannot take their physiological response to diet, as proof of anything in humans.

The thing that you and some others in this thread do not seem to realize is that since the high protein craze got going over 30 years ago... it has become a multi-billion dollar enterprise. And in the last few years study after study has shown that those who eat an unbalanced high protein diet have serious health consequences resulting in people literally slashing years off of their lives.
This study was an attempt to explain part of why this has been the result of this unwise dietary decision made by millions of people. I don’t think that it necessary is the best explanation, but it is an interesting one. When so many people have a strong visceral reaction to a study such as this one, it demonstrates that their belief system is based on something other than factual information.
