omething important has been lost in the embarrassing saga of Jussie Smollett, the tuna fish sandwich-loving actor and anti-Trump activist, and those muscular Nigerian brothers.
And I suppose it’s easy to lose what’s important with all the panic and intersectional hatred and liberal identity politics gone bad in this Smollett story.
What’s been lost is this:
I’m told that two dozen detectives were assigned to the Smollett case.
Can Chicago afford that, what with all the unsolved murders and shootings in this town?
No.
There were some 18 people killed in Chicago after Smollett began telling his story in late January, that story in which he cast himself as the hero, about having to fight off pro-Trump racists.
Now it turns out that the pro-Trump racists, who he says put a noose around his neck, may actually be his friends, two muscular Nigerian brothers who may or may not have been paid in this deal.
Either way, his story is he fought them off. Even though he had a cellphone in one hand, a tuna sandwich in the other.
Smollett must be a certified badass. His sandwich survived.
But two dozen detectives assigned to check out his story that he was a victim of a politically inspired pro-Trump hate crime, a story that is unraveling by the second?
Even in Chicago, a city known for its unending violence and political corruption, assigning two dozen detectives seems a bit overdone.
I could go with a lower number — say 20 detectives — given to me by someone who knows.
But that’s still high given all the homicides that are never solved.
Chicago has an abysmal homicide clearance rate of about 17 percent. Chicago’s detective ranks have been decimated by attrition and idiotic shortsighted political management. There aren’t enough detectives. That’s

I don’t know what the author is so upset about. Given the CPD’s abysmal clearance rates, having additional LE available wouldn’t have helped.

On the one hand it would seem that why would they even bother when everyone knows the magic skin pigment (plus the hole card of faggotry) are going to pre empt any consequences. This whole “investigation” is just to rub it in our faces so we all know just exactly what he is getting away with Scott free.

the news and black nationalist politicians including She-Hack-Lee in Houston were all angry about “a white guy” who gunned down a car with black passengers early one morning, killing a young girl, until it came out that it was actually just black on black crime.

If you look, it’s actually because more agencies reported data to the federal government. So just counting the issue more accurately will make it look like the problem is getting worse when really there were just fewer people participating in this scheme to count hate crimes than the year before.”
As an example, the Reason editor explained why anti-Semitic hate crimes supposedly increased by 60 percent “since Trump was elected.”

Soave and Carlson discussed why a complicit media like to promote the idea of a “surge in hate crimes,” despite what often turns out to be a reality they would rather not discuss.
“It is so hard to tell what percentage of these kinds of things are hoaxes,” said Soave. “Often times they’re just not solved. When they are solved it seems to me from my looking into it, that a lot of the time it ends up being a hoax. That is just from which ones I see get solved.”

Solving a few more murders in Chicago probably won’t change much in the city. Working with uncooperative witnesses isn’t a good use of time.
Solving this hoax probably will make a change. The goal of the hoax was to make minorities afraid of white men and especially afraid of Trump supporters. That’s 10s or 100s of thousands of people walking around Chicago feeling unsafe when they see a white guy if the hoax succeeds (not to mention all the people in the rest of the US). That’s a lot of tension that can be diffused by showing this to be a hoax IF the media covers the hoax as much as they covered the attack.
The hoax doesn’t just have a negative impact on Chicago society, but could very well change elections. Elections may not have been a direct goal of the hoaxers, but moving voters away from republicans was. And the media that ran with it certainly considered the impact it could have in 2020. The killing of a 1 year old is important, but a hoax that the media can go anti-republican 24/7 for a few days/weeks then come back to in the next election is much more significant. And if a thorough investigation stops future hoaxes it was well worth the extra manpower.

Due to the imbalance of racial arrest disparities more white people need to be arrested before they can arrest anyone that is AA.
Why would a witness cooperate if the prosecutors won’t prosecute?
It’s not inconceivable that police could have went to the site of the “attack” and saw a couple of men who matched the description and ended up killing them.
And Smollett could fight them off with his cell phone in one hand and a sandwich in the other when it was -18 degrees at 2:00 AM. All that effort, and the surveillance camera was pointed the wrong way. That’s why he’ll never be a director.
I predict Jussy Fruit will check into rehab for something using it as an excuse for his hoax and to avoid prosecution
