KMG365: I agree with Bagster. When I see one of your lengthy posts, I think good lord nobody has time to read all of that. As I am scrolling down and see a super long post I know what name I am going to see at the bottom of it.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

TEXOKIE: I agree with him too! LOL!
I am sorry about the length. Believe it or not I really do try to streamline. I am not offended by people scrolling by because I am posting the detailed content in large part for documentation.

MotherOfDragons:
I think some want more detail and some want less because we are fortunate enough to have both analysts and researchers on our threads; the two disciplines draw on separate skill sets.

I received the same input at TexOkie when I started posting threads because I am literally interested in soaking in information.

I could never be a freelance writer submitting articles to The Oracle because I lack the gifts that job requires. Bagster naturally streamlines all our input into clear strands of thought - it ain’t in me to do that. And the Oracle HAS let me know (polite pm) at times that I sometimes write more than...ahem...necessary (I yam what I yam). Because bagster’s gifts center on his ability to distill chaos into clear streams of thought, I can see what he would not be interested in my more verbose writing style (chaos). And lately, I’ve seen the lights on high up in The Oracle pressroom 24/7 as the staff attempts the impossible (keep up with Q despite lack of food, water, sleep, fresh air etc.) so I can understand him looking for ways to economize on his time.

*off in the distance, the sound of bagster scrolling past the rest of my post*

With input like bagster’s and others, I began to curtail the level of detail in my thread maintenance posts (which are different from research info) and try to strike a balance.

When I was first wandering the Forbidden City, I went over to a back room to watch Anons piecing together information. I was appalled to find they were doing so at the molecular level. I backed outta the room and tip toed away - I’d rather wait for analysts to tell me what the millions of teeny little data points they were assembling mean. So apparently even I have my limits.

I think it’s preferences and I’m grateful that it all comes together in our threads. The scroll bar works for some, and others (me) are interested in details. No need to change. For awhile, I tried to remember to put a one or two line summary at the top of my posts so scrollers would know what I was going on about - but it does take time and we all want more time to Q it up! :)

Texokie, I can’t imagine our threads without your research contributions, and that’s a fact!

I think they’re fine, though I’m usually behind so I just skim or skip the long posts.

Thanks for this thread, MoD.

I appreciate everyone’s contributions to these threads. I don’t read it all, I don’t click it all (not enough time, brain power and some stuff I can’t handle ie graphic), but I honor and appreciate it all.

RE: ransomnote's (our Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets') commentary about types of posts we have here on our Q threads - Long, detailed, short pithy, research, analysis.... we need it all.

And again, ransomnote, you demonstrate so clearly just WHY you are indeed the "Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets:)

I had a private chat with Ransomnote about this.

I shared it with her because I had to share it with somebody.

She declared it worth sharing, so since I’m already doxed by this meme both here and in Twitter I might as well let you all know that FReeQ work can also be appreciated in the Forbidden City. (It’s a large image, so I’m only posting a FlickR link.)
