Watching a movie named,
Dear Brigitte (1965) starring Jimmy Stewart as Professor Robert Leaf. The story is how he and his family deal with sudden notoriety surrounding the media's recognition that his son Erasmus 'Ras' (played by Billy Mumy) is a math savant.
Stewart's character is exasperated with the whole mess and appeals to his wife, "Has the world gone completely mad?" to which his wife (Glynis Johns) gently responds, "Dear, it always has been. You've just never noticed before!"
The seemingly obscure title
Dear Bridgette is in reference to the youngster fascination with Bridgette Bardot.
