SANTA FE — Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and a bipartisan group of lawmakers are backing legislation to establish an office of outdoor recreation to promote hiking, climbing and fishing throughout New Mexico.

They said Tuesday that they want the Land of Enchantment to challenge Utah, Montana and other states known for attracting outdoor enthusiasts from all over the country.

The proposal would also create an “outdoor equity grant program” aimed at helping low-income families in New Mexico enjoy skiing, camping and the outdoors.

The proposal, Senate Bill 462, calls for $1.5 million in funding to run the division and $100,000 to start the grant program.

Lujan Grisham said the division would help promote New Mexico’s beauty and play a role in attracting new businesses and growing ones already here.

The new division would be part of the Economic Development Department.

A totally unnecessary waste of taxpayer money. But if passed, hope survival skills are presented as Lujan Grisham says fossil fuels will be eliminated for power generation in New Mexico by 2045. Will need new skills to survive in the asphalt jungle (BTW, they will already have grabbed your guns by requiring a background check for all non-store sales and trades).

If the New Green Scam is implemented, the only people hiking in NM will be the invaders from South of the border.

The people still living in NM, when it goes full envirowacko, will need all those outdoors skills to just survive as the modern life will be a thing of the past for all but the political elite and their slaves.

If you’re going to “go Marxist”, you better have a lot of outdoor skills. You’re going to need ‘em.

Eff their "laws".

Illegal invaders don't have to follow New Mexico laws. Why should lawful citizens have to?

Just treat their "law enforcement" like drug lord enforcers.

Yep. You wouldn’t believe what is going on down here on the border, and how our wall busting governor and senators are welcoming it. It is insane in this state right now.

“...establish an office of outdoor recreation to promote hiking, climbing and fishing throughout New Mexico.”

Am I to understand that the state does not have a Department of Natural Resources, or Conservation Commission, Forestry department etc? Sounds kinda wacky to me.

“Outdoor equity grant program “ has fraud written all over it, our ass-clowns in Santa Fe do an excellent job of pissing our money away on useless crap.

Sounds like a great idea. Get more
people into the woods so they can be
trashed and torn up. They’ll now pass
a “clean up” tax.
Their energy proposal would require a
tax to help PNM transition from coal
to wind and solar power generation.
There are a number of gun control bills
written, but none submitted or passed
to date. I’ve been most ambitious in
calling, and writing our Smerfs.

We already have more than our share of invaders from south of the border.

So... encourage (and pay for) ghetto trash to go out and trash the outdoors?!?!

Yeah... that'll definitely help attract new businesses!?!?

IDIOCY!

Michelle Lujan Grisham and a bipartisan group of lawmakers are backing legislation to establish an office of outdoor recreation to promote hiking, climbing and fishing throughout New Mexico.

But not hunting, which is where the big bucks (heh; no pun intended) could be made.

The proposal would also create an “outdoor equity grant program” aimed at helping low-income families in New Mexico enjoy skiing, camping and the outdoors.

Oh Great. Pay poor people to go Skiing and camping in NM. Now THATS real socialism. AOC needs to put that in her Green New Deal.

If I was younger, I'd be making plans to get the hell out of this insane state.

.............................

Thanks for the ping Dave, despite most of the stuff you have been posting lately is terribly upsetting.
