That might be what I’m remembering, blackface for a dressing as a hobo. More I thought of it, my parents wouldn’t have allowed me to dress as a pickaninny. I said the ‘n’ word in the backseat of the car once, I guess I wanted to see what would happen. I found out. My mother turned around and smacked me across the face. Never did that again.
