I donned a sheet to be a ghost but my parents would NEVER have let me play a klansman. Never. It’s not the same thing. I don’t remember exactly whether I ever did that or not, but I just didn’t consider blackface to be racist until being informed of it by the erstwhile communist overlords. Lots of fun blacks and whites used to be able to have together, couldn’t dream of now.
