They could use Induced pluripotent stem cell instead - converted from adult stem-cells. (from wiki->) Since iPSCs can be derived directly from adult tissues, they not only bypass the need for embryos, but can be made in a patient-matched manner, which means that each individual could have their own pluripotent stem cell line.

Fetal stem cells are known to be hard to work with: they don't want to stay put, nor do they necessarily stay in the form you want them too.

(Must have to do with where they came from; think for example of how fingers and toes are formed.)
