Dave passed away a couple of years ago. Fascinating man, very intellectual. He obtained a Master's Degree in Mathematics from UCLA but was foremost an evangelist even back then.

If you remember the Christian move from a few years ago End of the Spear about Jim Elliot and others killed by tribesmen in the jungles of Ecuador, but years later, through the Grace of Christ, some of those same tribesmen became Christians. Well, Elliot was Dave's best friend and he spoke of him and his story quite often. I think it had a dramatic impact on his life and ministry.
