You've got a point, but in the seventies (and earlier) it was really all for laughs. Blacks were the butt of jokes, too, but it was all in good fun. Which is why I loved Richard Pryor. He could mock both blacks and whites in a manner they could laugh at it. They would crucify Pryor today for a lot of his material.
