He didn't father a child. He donated his sperm, and did not know how, or even whether, it was going to be used or by whom. For all he knew, it could be discarded, used for research, or used to inseminate a married woman with an impotent husband (which is at arguably a good thing). The only thing he knew is that if it is used to impregnate a woman, it would be used on a woman who at least professes not to want him to be a father.

I don't like this stuff much, either, but I place more blame on the single mother recipient or on the sperm bank itself than on the guy who accepted their offer to buy his sperm.

Male = bad oppressor
Woman = victim of toxic masculinity.
