First thing that jumps out at me on this list is that while the 9th circuit covers several states - every one of these nominees is from California. Now it could be that they just currently live in Cali - but it still has to be irritating that no other state in the largest circuit court in the land is represented in the nominees.
I’m hoping that someone will find knowledgeable info about these nominees. I will tool around twatterville as much as I have time for and see what turns up.

Both Daniel Collins (Scalia clerk) and Kenneth Lee (5th Circuit conservative clerk) were renominated. Daniel Breen (Scalia clerk) replaces Patrick Bumatay for a 9th Circuit spot, and Bumatay gets a District court nomination.
