Mueller says his files were leaked to Russia, which used it for ‘disinformation campaign’
A pro-Russia Twitter account somehow gained access to nonpublic evidence gathered by special counsel Robert Mueller and tweeted out altered versions of those files as part of a “disinformation campaign,” Mueller asserted Wednesday.
The allegation was made by Mueller’s team in a new court filing Wednesday in the case against Concord Management and Consulting, a Russian company owned by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a billionaire friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Concord Management helped finance a known Russian troll farm, Internet Research Agency.
According to Mueller, “certain non-sensitive” evidence given by federal prosecutors to the defense team was “altered” and posted online “as part of a disinformation campaign aimed (apparently) at discrediting ongoing investigations into Russian interference in the U.S. political system.” Mueller didn’t describe how the information was altered.

Former FBI director James Comey is reeling from the FBI’s release of information pertaining to his exit from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The forms reveal a mad dash by the Department of Justice in the days after Comey’s spring 2017 firing to retrieve secret information from Comey’s office and to figure out the extent of what Comey was actually doing as FBI director.
Comey signed the Sensitive Compartmented Information Nondisclosure Agreement, which makes it all the more serious that Comey violated sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 13 by illegally handing over presidential briefing memorandums (page 5 and 6 of FBI release). Comey refused to check either a Yes or No box on ..
“Do you have any financial interests/obligations, personal assets or property in a foreign country, or have you ever provided any service, compensated or voluntary, or been employed by 1) a foreign country 2) any foreign nationals 3) a representative of any foreign nationals 4) any foreign, domestic or international organization or person engaged in analysis, discussion, or publication of material on intelligence, defense, foreign affairs, or protected technology 5) or registered as an agent of a foreign government.”
The inventory of items on page 10 reveals a folder on “Use of government vehicle by DD,” meaning deputy director. This folder was obviously a problem because an authorization form would be kept in personnel.
But that’s not all.
Comey had a white binder marked “Clinton Emails” in his office on May 16, 2017, a few days after he was fired, as the Department of Justice was trying to get back the items in Comey’s office safe. (READ: Comey Had Hillary’s Backup Email Device).
The FBI officially released the DOJ’s “Inventory” Receipt for Property documentslisting the stuff Comey had in his office safe.
Look below at Inventory Item #17, which originally said “TOP SECRET,” then that marking was crossed out. In its final form, it says:
